Jason Perry

Jason Perry is a mixed media artist whose work explores themes of memory, fantasy, identity, sacrifice, and rebirth. Through layered materials, iconography, text, and symbolism, his pieces invite viewers to move through multiple visual and conceptual planes. His intentionally non-linear approach to narrative reflects the many paths individuals take in the search for meaning, allowing each viewer to form their own connections and interpretations.

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Jason maintains his studio practice on Mare Island while also dedicating himself to arts education. He teaches visual arts at Napa Valley College and Solano Community College, where he supports students in developing both technical skills and personal visual language.

At Mare Island Art Studios, Jason serves as Education and Youth Liaison, helping bridge studio-based practice with educational programming and youth engagement. His work within the studios supports the next generation of artists while strengthening connections between MIAS, students, and the broader community.
