The Obtainium Cup Contraptor’s Rally is a 4-mile crazy mad-cap jaunt through the post-Apocalyptic world of Mare Island, braving such hazards as flying monkeys, zombies, and mad tea parties! Human-powered vehicles and bicycles from around the Bay Area will be competing based on creativity, tenacity, and participation.
Entrants: Enter your contraption or decorated bicycle by July 13, 2014 for only $25; all entries will receive a medal. Applications on website – www.obtainiumworks.net and Facebook page.
Participants: The rally begins at the Coal Shed Art Studio at 3pm. Viewing for the rally along the route will be marked, vendors, food and refreshments at various locations around the island, post-rally trophy ceremony and after-party held at the Coal Shed.
